Restoration FAQ
Straight answers about emergencies, insurance, water damage and mold in Snohomish & King County.
Emergencies & Getting Started
We answer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Call 425-535-6001 and we'll talk through what's happening and dispatch a crew as fast as possible. Water damage spreads quickly, so we don't wait until morning.
If it's safe, shut off the water at the main valve and turn off power to any wet areas. Move valuables, electronics and documents off wet floors, and take photos of the damage for your insurance claim. Don't use a household vacuum on standing water, and stay out of any room where the ceiling is sagging. Our water damage guide has a full checklist.
All of Snohomish County and King County, including Everett, Lynnwood, Marysville, Edmonds, Mill Creek, Lake Stevens, Bothell, Mukilteo, Snohomish, Monroe, Arlington, Mountlake Terrace and Granite Falls. Not sure if you're in our area? Just call.
Yes. We restore offices, retail stores, restaurants, apartment buildings and other commercial properties, and we plan the work around your business to keep downtime low. See commercial restoration.
Insurance & Cost
Yes — we work with all insurance carriers and bill your insurance directly. We document the damage with photos and moisture readings and work with your adjuster, so you aren't stuck handling the claim alone.
It depends on your policy and the cause. Many homeowner policies cover sudden and accidental damage, like a burst pipe or appliance failure, but not damage from long-term leaks or flooding from outside. Your insurance company makes the final call; we'll give them the documentation they need to decide.
Every job is different — cost depends on the size of the affected area, the type of water or damage, and what materials need to be removed or rebuilt. Estimates are free and there's no obligation. When insurance covers the loss, you're typically responsible only for your deductible.
Yes. Call us or request an estimate online and we'll get back to you quickly.
Water Damage
Most structures take a few days to dry with professional equipment, but it varies with how much water there was, how long it sat and what it soaked into. We check moisture levels every day and only pull equipment once materials are confirmed dry.
Surface water often dries, but moisture trapped inside walls, under floors and in insulation usually doesn't — and that's where mold starts. We use moisture meters and thermal imaging to find hidden water, then commercial dehumidifiers and air movers to dry it properly.
Mold
Mold can start growing within 24 to 48 hours on wet materials. That's why fast drying matters so much. Learn more on our mold facts & myths page.
We follow IICRC S520 protocols: find the moisture source, contain the area so spores don't spread, remove contaminated materials, clean and treat what remains, and verify the area is clear. See mold remediation.
